Welcome to our two- day Fall Psychodrama Intensive, where the crips fall inspires us to slow down making space for new experiences for ourselves and the clients we work with. This highly experiential workshop invites you to explore how engaging with challenges in action, in the “here and now” provides insights and opportunities for meaningful behavior change that extends beyond what traditional talk therapy can offer.
During this training, participants will be introduced to a variety of psychodrama techniques, including doubling, role reversal, interviewing, and scene setting, applicable in both individual and group settings. Participants will also advance their knowledge through an exploration of group dynamics (sociometry), role identification, and the three phases of psychodrama group work: warm-up, action, and sharing. Participants will also learn about the history and evolution of psychodrama, sociometry, and group therapy which were developed by Dr. Jacob L. Moreno. Finally, the research and effectiveness of psychodrama techniques will be explored.
Who Should Attend
This workshop is ideal for mental health professionals, educators, social workers, coaches, lawyers, nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals, managers, team leaders, and HR professionals and anyone interested in incorporating psychodramatic methods into their work. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and participate.
Previous training in psychodrama and/or acting is NOT required. This training is designed to introduce new students to Psychodrama while also advancing the skills of those with prior training.
A lunch break will be provided, and complimentary snacks and beverages will be available throughout the training.
