As the season of thanks approaches, participants are invited to experience and learn about the power of the psychodramatic empty chair. Participants will learn how to use the psychodramatic empty chair structure to guide their clients through the intricacies of family dynamics, unspoken emotions, and the journey towards healing. Led by seasoned facilitators, this training equips clinicians with the tools to support their clients in stepping into the shoes of absent loved ones, give voice to unvoiced feelings, and find solace in acknowledging the complexities of relationships. This training provides a safe and enriching environment for professionals to enhance their therapeutic skills and help their clients embrace gratitude and healing. Join us to embark on a therapeutic adventure that celebrates the spirit of Thanksgiving by filling the empty chair with empathy, insight, and profound therapeutic breakthroughs.
Mallory Primm, PsyD, PAT and Kate Merkle, LCSW, MPH, RDN, PAT will provide participants with personalized feedback and guidance throughout the training day. Participants can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the psychodrama approach and will develop the skills necessary to incorporate these tools into their own professional work.
Previous training in psychodrama is not required. These sessions are for anyone from the first time participant to individuals with advanced training in psychodrama. A lunch break will be provided, and complimentary snacks and beverages will be available throughout the training.
This training provides 7 CEs for Illinois Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, U.S. Registered Dietitians (RD/RDN), DTRs, NDTRs, and Public Health professionals (CPH). It also provides 8 psychodrama training hours for students who are working toward ABE certification in psychodrama, sociometry, and group psychotherapy.
