Join us and expand your awareness, gain new perspectives through encountering collective roles, and learn new psychodrama skills. During this highly experiential workshop participants will learn and practice the psychodramatic method, its structure, skills and techniques which are applicable to work with individuals, couples, families and groups. This course is designed to offer training in therapeutic psychodrama, and sociodrama. This course is designed to offer training in advanced counseling techniques, specifically the use of therapeutic psychodrama, role playing, and sociodrama. Students will be trained in general role playing, serving as a significant other, and doubling. They will participate in sociodrama, situational psychodrama and classical psychodrama, and other specific related techniques. Previous training in psychodrama is not required. These sessions are for anyone from first time student to master trainer, and are designed to introduce one to the method. It has been used world-wide in settings such as education, healthcare, residential, personal growth groups, social service organizations and communities. The efficacy of various warm-ups and techniques with different populations are examined. Development of psychodrama, practical applications and history of Jacob L. Moreno are also explored.
